Stocken is situated around a great variety of waters ideal for kayaking - both beginners and routine paddlers. Here you can find places of greenery and blank waters, open coast and bare cliffs. For the nature-interested there are spots rich with flora native to the Bohuslän area and plenty of wildlife, animals and birds alike.
If you want to go for a swim and have a calm day by the sea, you can paddle out to the wonderful cliffs and sand beaches. Here, you can find something for everyone, whether you are looking to paddle in complete wilderness, or to a cozy ice cream café or a charming pub.
The area around Stocken is protected from rough weather from the sea, so you almost always paddle in calm waters.
Paddle alone, bring a friend, or the entire family! In our stable double kayaks you can bring children and the dog with you. You don’t have to paddle far to reach some really nice spots, but you can if you’d like!
Most who rent from us paddle for a few hours or just the day - but why not bring a tent and a portable stove and enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the archipelago?

Orust Kajak was established in 1995 by Tomas Åhlberg and has been run by Mattias Karlsson since 2014. Orust Kajak is located in the village of Stocken on Orust, one hour north of Gothenburg - in the paddle paradise of Bohuslän.
We offer kayak and SUP rentals, as well as after season sales of equipment and kayaks.
